[NEWS] Girls’ Generation Leaves Messages for Fans at ‘Debut 5th Anniversary Party’

As one of several surprises in store for fans attending Girls’ Generation’s “Debut 5th Anniversary Party”, the members of Girls’ Generation each left messages on a postcard expressing their gratitude to their fans. The party is currently taking place at the Ehwa Womans University.

[NEWS] Girls’ Generation and London Olympics Advertisement Campaign Results in Increased Sales for LG

 

In April of this year, LG Electronics released the “Girls’ Generation TV”, a special Cinema 3D TV set with a youthful concept that came in either red or white, with Girls’ Generation’s Yoona and Seohyun as its official models. This television set is currently becoming a success in the market as LG has begun to advertise the television as a Olympics special product, using several CFs centered around the upcoming London Olympics. As of the first week of July, the “Girls’ Generation TV” has sold a total of 20,000 units, and sold 10,000 units in the month of June alone, making the television a “big hit”. According to convention in the sales and business world, a television which costs over two million won (roughly 1741.93 US dollars) and sells over 5,000 units is considered a “hit”, and sales of the “Girls’ Generation TV” are thus seen as very high.

[NEWS] Sooyoung’s Drama ‘The 3rd Hospital’ to Begin Airing on September 5th

tvN has revealed that the first episode of “The 3rd Hospital” will air on September 5th. The drama will air weekly on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 11 PM KST. Additionally, the lead poster for the drama was also released. Choi Sooyoung is listed as one of the five main actors of the show.

tvN, the Korean television channel which will air “The 3rd Hospital”, has just opened an official website for the upcoming medical drama. The website currently features photos of the male leads, Kim Seungwoo and Oh Jiho, as well as a video teaser that briefly shows Sooyoung.

The drama will center on the neurosurgery department of an alternative hospital and will portray the conflict between western and eastern medicinal practices. Sooyoung plays Euijin, a viola player, and will be involved in a romantic storyline with the characters played by Kim Minjung, Kim Seungwoo, and Oh Jiho.

“The 3rd Hospital” is set to begin airing August 22nd at 11 PM KST.

[NEWS] LG Releases New ‘Cinema 3D TV’ Advertisements Featuring Girls’ Generation

LG recently released two new promotional photos for its “Cinema 3D TV”. The first picture shows all nine members of Girls’ Generation in pink and white cheerleading outfits, standing behind one of the TVs that LG is promoting. In the second advertisement, the girls are seen in mid-jump as Yoona stands in the foreground, posing as if she is shouting to the viewer to buy this new product.

In addition to photos, LG also released a few new CFs for its “Cinema 3D TV”, all centered around the upcoming London Olympics. The first CF includes footage of a sparring match, and the girls don 3D glasses so the fighters seem to pop out of the screen. The second video features Yuri as she nervously watches an Olympic archer fire an arrow directly at her face. Yoona, meanwhile, enjoys a graceful performance of rhythmic gymnastics as the gymnast’s ribbon twirls outside the boundaries of the television screen.

[NEWS] SNSD’s Sooyoung humiliates Yoon Do Hyun with her long legs

SNSD’s Sooyoung recently attracted wide attention with her long legs.

In the episode of SBS TV’s Midnight TV Entertainment that aired on July 4, Sooyoung measured the length of her legs and surprised everyone as they were 107 centimeters long.

It happened as the reporters asked Sooyoung to measure the length of her legs because her nickname was Crane Legs.

After measuring the length of her legs, Sooyoung said, “I’m relieved because they’re long enough.”

The host Yoon Do Hyun also measure the length of his legs. However, he was humiliated as his legs were only 102 centimeters long.

In the episode, Ulala Session’s Im Yoon Taek interviewed and said it was hard for him to work any harder because his condition worsened.
