Sooyoung: Korea Yakult Releases New Girls’ Generation ‘LOOK’ CF
One of Girls’ Generation’s latest endorsement deals is with Korea Yakult. In the spirit of the coming summer season, during the first week of June the company began revealing videos of each member promoting Yakult’s “LOOK” diet drink.
Sooyoung, along with other Girls’ Generation members, is often asked how she keeps her figure with such a packed schedule. For her, drinking “LOOK” everyday along with exercising and eating well are all crucial steps to keeping her body healthy and slim.

Sooyoung Talks About Fashion and Cooking in ‘InStyle’ Magazine
Sooyoung is featured in the April issue of “InStyle” magazine. During the shoot, she talked about her thoughts on Girls’ Generation’s worldwide success, her fashion, and even her new-found love of cooking.
“Honestly, the color I like the most is black.” Showing expert poses while wearing visibly showy colors of red, green, and blue, Sooyoung’s words were unexpected. “But today, there are a lot of colors other than black that I want to start liking,” she said, “especially the color of my lips (laughs)”, pointing at her lips. She then started puckering her lips while looking in the mirror, as if the dark crimson color looked awkward on her. “Because my skin color is on the dark side, I don’t wear items with bold colors. If I don’t match it well, it can look dowdy. But now that I’ve tried them on, there are a lot of colors that suit me, so I feel good.”

Girls’ Generation Members Say Sooyoung Acts More Calm as MC
On the June 13th broadcast of SBS’s “Midnight TV Entertainment”, Sooyoung reflected on her first show as MC which aired the previous week.
While talking with MC Yoon Dohyun, Sooyoung revealed that her fellow Girls’ Generation members were a little surprised with her first outing as an MC on the show, saying,

On June 9th, Sooyoung made her cameo appearance on “A Gentleman’s Dignity”. Acting as herself, Sooyoung enters a scene in a cafe as the three of the four main characters are discussing the best member of Girls’ Generation. Kim Minjong’s character, Choi Yoon, who previously was embarrassed seeing his friends arguing about their favorite members, runs to ask Sooyoung for an autograph and performs parts of the dances for Girls’ Generation songs such as “Hoot”, “Gee”, and “Genie”.
Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung will be making a special appearance in “A Gentleman’s Dignity”, a drama starring Kim Minjong, who is represented by the same management company as Sooyoung.
Sooyoung Successfully Emcees Her First ‘Midnight TV Entertainment’ Broadcast
Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung and YB’s Yoon Dohyun showed off their stable teamwork when they emceed “Midnight TV Entertainment” for the first time.
On June 6th, Sooyoung and Yoon Dohyun appeared as the new MCs of the SBS celebrity news program “Midnight TV Entertainment”, succeeding Seo Kyungseok and Yoo Inna.
‘High Cut’ Magazine Interviews Sooyoung on Acting and Fashion
Recently, Sooyoung was featured in the 77th issue of “High Cut” magazine. She did an interview with the magazine in which she discussed her acting role, her interest in fashion, as well as her social status as a member of Girls’ Generation.
Q. You will finally be making your official attempt at acting in “The 3rd Hospital”. This is your first time acting in a drama whereas before you acted in the movie, “Hello, Schoolgirl”.
A. It is a drama that I have long been looking forward to. I’ve been looking at the script for “The 3rdHospital” since last year, so I have confidence in it. There were better opportunities, but I chose the role of Euijin in “The 3rd Hospital” for the reason that without her, you can’t explain the entire context of the drama. I daringly chose this character, because I thought it could persuade and move the viewers.

Sooyoung Casted as New MC of SBS’s ‘Midnight TV Entertainment’
On May 30th, the producers of SBS’s “Midnight TV Entertainment” revealed that Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung and Yoon Dohyun have been casted as MCs of the popular show to replace Seo Kyungsuk and Yoo Inah, who recently had their farewell episode.
